We asked Tech and the City founder, Marios Kontis, about building an app that bridges the gap between universities and innovation by enabling users to create and watch events about innovation. Marios chose Bubble because it offered a no-code platform that allowed him to build his app quickly without having to code. The app, called Tech and the City, allows users to create or watch events based on inspirational talks, with features such as event pages, speaker management, registrations, and livestreaming. Organizers can edit their events and attendees receive reminders and notifications when events are about to start. Marios built the app without any coding experience, discovering Bubble through a search for no-code tools after hiring tech experts who struggled to complete an MVP. He found Bubble's point-and-click web editor and cloud hosting platform easy to use and completed the MVP in just one week. Since then, Tech and the City has hosted two successful events with 700 participants, and Marios plans to release the app on Android and iOS and create interactive workshops for organizers. The app is part of a growing community of no-code builders and entrepreneurs using Bubble to launch businesses and raise funding.
