Futureshop is a no-code platform that allows users to search for and shop for sustainable products made from environmentally friendly materials. The app was built using Bubble, which enabled its founder Marc Brodeur to create sophisticated features such as different data types, filtered searches, and an editor back-end portal. Futureshop aims to transform the online shopping experience by providing a comprehensive directory of sustainably-made clothing basics and activewear, with plans to expand into other categories in the future. The app allows users to add favorites, browse products through a search engine or directory, and click through to complete purchases on the ecommerce site of the product's brand. Marc Brodeur chose Bubble over traditional tools like React due to its ease of use and ability to handle advanced features, and has since worked with a small team to catalogue over 6000 sustainable products into the database, with plans for future marketing and social media efforts.
