We asked MyDomos founder, Benedetto Morici, about building an app that allows users to book tours with owners of private historic homes that are normally closed to the public. Benedetto has a background in architecture and historic preservation. MyDomos is a marketplace where you can book tours with owners of private historic homes that are usually closed to the public, providing a unique human experience. The owners show visitors around their homes, share their passion and intimate knowledge of the place, as they would be old friends. The app works by connecting two groups of users: the owners willing to host tours and the visitors looking for tours. Users can browse available tours, sign up and complete reservations with an integrated payment system. Benedetto discovered no-code tools like Bubble while following the French no-code movement and fell in love with its power and versatility. He chose Bubble because it allows him to build any web app, interact with users and make corrections quickly without writing code. MyDomos has successfully acquired first clients and launched its MVP last December, with tours fully booked within a few days. The future plans include adding more listings in the Paris area and securing funding for international development.
