We asked YL Chow, a founder of Centrio HQ, about building an accounting management app in Malaysia. Centrio is a virtual accountant app that manages business transactions, taxation, and audits at an affordable cost, particularly for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. The platform allows users to engage with accounting services in a seamless and fuss-free manner without traditional methods of engagement such as mailing paper documents back and forth. Chow discovered no-code features in Bubble, which he found incredibly easy to use even without coding experience, and decided to build his app using this tool. CentrioHQ provides quality, efficient, and affordable accounting services entirely on the cloud, allowing users to focus on running their businesses instead of wasting time worrying about accounting. The app works by enabling users to upload documents via a platform for processing, which is then extracted via AI-driven OCR technology for speed and accuracy. Users can also live chat with their account manager on the platform if they have any accounting-related questions. The app provides a dedicated dashboard where users can view their business performance and receive financial statements and reports monthly or quarterly. Chow discovered no-code tools like Bubble through his exploration of building an app without coding, and he chose Bubble for its intuitive interface and friendly pricing plans that enable bootstrapped founders to focus on customer acquisition. CentrioHQ has managed to build a fully functional MVP in less than 3 months and has acquired several clients immediately after launching the app. The company plans to continue acquiring and building up its client base, listening to user feedback, and expanding its platform with new features such as iOS & Android native apps and AI-driven solutions.
