Introducing BrowserStack Load Testing
Blog post from BrowserStack
BrowserStack has launched its generally available Load Testing product, designed to assess both backend API performance and real browser experiences under high traffic. Unlike traditional protocol-level testing, the platform combines up to 1 million API virtual users with up to 1,000 browser virtual users, helping teams identify frontend issues such as slow rendering, checkout delays, and poor Core Web Vitals that server-focused tests may miss. It supports existing browser automation frameworks including Playwright, Selenium, WebdriverIO, and Nightwatch, along with API scripts from JMeter, k6, Gatling, and Locust, while offering migration support for NeoLoad and LoadRunner. A unified dashboard brings together browser, API, server, and connected APM data from services such as Datadog and New Relic, and AI Insights analyzes logs and metrics to identify likely causes of performance problems, assign severity, and suggest fixes. Teams can also record low-code user journeys, integrate tests into CI/CD tools, establish performance thresholds, and configure load profiles by user volume, ramp-up, duration, and region.
