Browserbase & Fingerprint.js: Tackling fraud with agent identity

Browserbase, in collaboration with Fingerprint, has launched Authorized AI Agent Detection, a system designed to establish trust and identity for AI agents on the web, as AI-driven automation becomes integral to online business operations. This initiative extends Browserbase's partnerships with Cloudflare, Stytch, and other bot protection platforms, enhancing agent identity as a fundamental web component. The collaboration allows Browserbase's AI agents, run in production-grade browsers, to be cryptographically identified, enabling businesses to permit trusted automation while blocking malicious activity. Fingerprint, a device intelligence platform, provides precise visitor identification by analyzing various signals, facilitating the authentication of authorized AI agents and moving towards identity-based access control. This partnership aims to create a shared infrastructure for an emerging agentic economy, promoting trust, transparency, and verification, allowing enterprises to safely integrate AI agents without risking security or revenue loss.
