How Saga Legal got legal sign-off down from a day to 90 minutes
Blog post from Boxd
Saga, a legal AI company serving more than 500 legal teams and law firms in over 25 countries, replaced a shared staging server with boxd’s per-pull-request preview environments to speed up its mandatory in-house legal testing process. Previously, about 380 monthly pull requests competed for one staging environment, creating delays that could last days and forcing developers to test branches locally. An engineer deployed the new setup in one day without application-code changes by configuring a machine with the app, services, and database, then using snapshots to launch isolated preview environments in seconds. Saga now runs 20 to 40 concurrent previews, each with its own HTTPS URL and automatically removed when its pull request closes, enabling the legal team to test exact changes and provide same-day feedback directly on pull requests. The company estimates that the system saves tens to hundreds of waiting hours each month and is considering expanding the approach to background workers and coding-agent environments.
