Tissium supports compliant life science innovation with Box as the content layer
Blog post from Box
Tissium, a French life sciences startup developing programmable polymers for tissue reconstruction, uses Box as a centralized governed content platform to support secure collaboration, regulatory compliance, and automation across its EU and US operations. Facing EU MDR, GDPR, GxP, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, the company consolidated previously scattered research and operational data, implemented structured permissions, automated classification, controlled external sharing, and archived older R&D materials for accessible institutional knowledge. Box Consulting helped Tissium redesign its content architecture, enabling permissions-aware AI experimentation for tasks such as translation, document retrieval, and workflow support while retaining human accountability for decisions affecting patient safety. Tissium also developed a proof of concept using Box Automate to digitize handwritten production batch records, reducing the estimated processing time per batch from 15 minutes to 2 minutes and avoiding the longer, more costly implementation of conventional electronic batch record software.
