Gemini 4 Argon pushes the frontier of enterprise work
Blog post from Box
Box’s AI Complex Work Eval assesses how well AI agents complete realistic enterprise tasks using mixed materials such as spreadsheets, PDFs, presentations, and images, with outputs scored through detailed weighted rubrics across repeated runs. In Box’s evaluation, Google’s Gemini 4 Argon achieved an 85% overall score versus 71% for Gemini 3.1 Pro, with especially large improvements in technical and evidence-intensive fields including public sector, life sciences, healthcare, legal, and media. Gemini 4 Argon more consistently interpreted diagrams, resolved ambiguous data labels, reviewed complete document sets, followed guidelines through later sections, and evaluated all required criteria rather than stopping after an initial finding or disqualifier. Its largest gains occurred in data analysis and source-based report drafting, where it was more likely to carry diagnoses and analyses through to coherent final recommendations, such as correcting an unsafe medication regimen and accounting for inventory in a product-launch plan. Box concludes that Gemini 4 Argon offers more complete, reliable performance for complex, document-heavy enterprise workflows and is planned for future availability in Box AI.
