First look: Claude Fable 5.1 improves accuracy, latency, and efficiency on complex enterprise work
Blog post from Box
Box reports that its evaluation of Claude Fable 5.1 on multi-document enterprise tasks found an overall score of 72%, up from 65% for Fable 5, alongside a 23% reduction in task-completion time and 25% lower token usage. The evaluation tested agentic workflows involving retrieval, reasoning across spreadsheets, PDFs, presentations, and images, and creation of business-ready deliverables. Fable 5.1 showed notable gains in data analysis, report drafting, and expert review, with improvements attributed to stronger multi-step reasoning and fewer cascading errors. Results also improved across financial services, public-sector, and technology scenarios, including financial projections, revised student-grade calculations, and cost optimization. Box says these changes could reduce manual verification and rework while making AI-supported analysis, validation, and reporting more efficient, and plans to make the model available in Box AI Studio.
