Claude Opus 5.5: Faster and leaner for high quality work

Box reports that its evaluation of Claude Opus 5.5 on complex, multi-document enterprise tasks found it substantially faster and more token-efficient than Opus 5 while maintaining or improving accuracy. In tests involving spreadsheets, PDFs, presentations, and images, Opus 5.5 completed tasks 30% faster, used roughly one-third as many tokens, and generated deliverables about 42% shorter without omitting key findings. Accuracy improved across highlighted sectors, rising from 76% to 82% in consumer products, 73% to 75% in financial services, and 63% to 74% in technology, with examples including account analysis, transaction-based pricing validation, and cloud cost optimization. Box says these gains could help finance, consumer products, and other enterprise teams produce clearer analyses, recommendations, and stakeholder-ready briefs more quickly while reducing review and editing effort. Claude Opus 5.5 is expected to become available in Box AI soon.
