Box.org joins Bay Area companies to distribute $22M in funding in response to COVID-19

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Box.org, alongside 24 other Bay Area companies, has pledged an initial collective funding of $22 million to support various organizations addressing the crisis on local, regional, and global scales. The funding is directed toward several key beneficiaries, including the CDC Foundation's Emergency Response Fund, the United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, and the Silicon Valley Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Coronavirus Regional Response Fund. These funds aim to bolster the efforts of public health responders worldwide, assist the World Health Organization in managing the pandemic, and support low-income individuals, families, nonprofits, and small businesses in the Bay Area. Companies involved in this initiative include Autodesk, Cisco, LinkedIn, Slack, and Zoom Video Communications among others, with a call for additional companies to join the effort in supporting community resilience during this crisis.
