Box and Slack have introduced a new integration aimed at enhancing content collaboration by allowing users to manage and access Box content directly within Slack. This integration supports efficient teamwork by eliminating the need for context switching and reducing content sprawl, as it keeps Box files accessible in Slack without storing them there. Users benefit from features like secure file sharing, rich previews of Box content, instant permission updates, and Box slash commands for quick actions. Additionally, an activity stream helps track how Box files are shared in Slack. Admins have new controls in the Box Admin Console to customize integration settings to align with their organization's security needs, including permissions for previews, Slack indexing, and workspace whitelisting. This collaboration aims to redefine team content management, and the integration is now available for all customers through the Slack App Directory and the Box Community Site.
