Summary

Bodo is a novel analytics engine technology that empowers data scientists on all compute platforms, including public or private cloud, to run Python workloads with extreme performance and scalability without code rewrites. It bridges the productivity-performance gap between high-level scripting languages like Python and low-level languages used in HPC, enabling data analytics for the first time. Bodo achieves this through its inferential compiler technology that infers parallel structure of application code, allowing existing analytics codes to be compiled into optimized versions automatically. This results in significant speedups over traditional engines like Spark, with examples demonstrating up to 63x and 116X speedup on certain benchmarks. By providing real-time automatic scaling, linear scaling, and efficient HPC architecture, Bodo opens new possibilities for developer productivity, higher accuracy, real-time cloud and edge applications, and infrastructure efficiency.
