Xcode 15.x stacks are being retired: here's what you need to do
Blog post from Bitrise
Bitrise will permanently remove all Xcode 15.x build stacks on September 16, 2026, following their freeze in October 2025 and the company’s stack lifecycle policy, while Xcode 16.x, 26.x, and 27.x edge stacks will remain supported. Users should review every workflow and branch for stack IDs containing xcode-15, update configurations to a newer stack, and run test builds because newer Xcode versions may introduce SDK, toolchain, API, simulator, or build-setting changes. Xcode 16 is presented as the closest migration path for minimizing toolchain differences, but Xcode 26 is required for App Store submissions. Bitrise will automatically move builds configured through bitrise.io from Xcode 15 to the Xcode 16 stable stack, although users must manually migrate repository-based bitrise.yml files on all active and long-lived branches or builds will fail after the removal date.
