Bazel Remote Build Execution: run your builds in parallel on Linux and macOS workers
Blog post from Bitrise
Bitrise’s Remote Build Execution for Bazel distributes build and test compilations across fleets of Linux and macOS workers, allowing tasks to run in parallel rather than sequentially on a single machine. The feature is now accessible through the Build Cache tab and includes a user interface for monitoring worker CPU, RAM, and disk utilization, reviewing failed targets and action outputs, and tracking usage through Bitrise Insights by machine type. RBE worker time is priced identically to corresponding Bitrise CI machine minutes, with spending shown alongside existing CI usage. Used together with Bitrise Build Cache, which reuses previously compiled artifacts, RBE can further reduce build times by parallelizing uncached work. Users can request account enablement, configure workers through the setup flow, review RBE-tagged build invocations, and begin with a 30-day Build Cache trial.
