September 2026 Changelog
Blog post from Basis Theory
Basis Theory’s monthly update adds support for AI agents to fund purchases through shoppers’ connected Stripe Link wallets, using the same allowance and credential workflow as vaulted cards, while v3 Web Elements now support right-to-left checkout layouts for languages such as Arabic and Hebrew. Test tenants can independently enable Network Tokens, Account Updater, and 3D Secure, and new webhooks provide real-time agentic payment lifecycle events, Reactor and Proxy runtime logs, and Proxy detokenization audit information. Developers can also transfer custom hostnames between Proxies by API for faster blue/green deployments and rollbacks. Additional enhancements cover expanded card-event BIN data, configurable Element layouts and behavior, third-party data destinations, React Native autofill and card-brand icons, and more flexible 3D Secure country and currency inputs. Bug fixes address Proxy status handling, runtime preservation, error responses and webhook masking, long-running Reactor results, IPv6 formatting and Discover requestor IDs for 3D Secure, and network-token provisioning deduplication.
