Introducing Baseten’s newest engineering leaders
Blog post from Baseten
Baseten announced the hires of Bryan Vann, Ilina Mitra, Jaikumar Ganesh, and Rahmi Marasli to expand its engineering organization and support increasingly complex AI inference workloads. Vann, formerly Kindo’s co-founder and CTO and a longtime Google engineering leader, will contribute foundational systems experience to the Baseten Inference Stack. Mitra, previously a leader of Meta’s PyTorch Inference Acceleration organization, joins as Head of Inference Platform to scale model optimization and large-scale serving capabilities. Ganesh, formerly Head of Engineering at Anyscale and an ML infrastructure leader at Uber, will join forward-deployed engineering to address customers’ inference challenges. Marasli, previously an engineering leader at NexHealth, Databricks, and Google, becomes Head of Product Platform to strengthen the infrastructure underpinning Baseten’s enterprise offerings. The company is also continuing to hire across inference, model performance, infrastructure, product platform, and forward-deployed engineering.
