Introducing Workloads, Edge Connector, Custom Pages, and API v4

Azion is introducing three core innovations—Workloads, Edge Connector, and Custom Pages—alongside the launch of API v4, marking a significant evolution of its platform. Workloads offers a Kubernetes-inspired model for centralized application management, allowing for logical grouping of related components and consistent configuration across environments. Edge Connector enhances backend integration by centralizing connectivity and security features, while Custom Pages provides advanced error response management with comprehensive status code coverage and consistent branding. The new API v4 introduces an event-driven architecture for improved performance and security, featuring JWT and OAuth 2.0 authentication, GraphQL-accessible activity history, and granular access controls. The rollout of API v4 will begin on August 5, 2025, with new developer accounts defaulting to this version, and existing accounts transitioning over six months. While most users will experience an automatic migration, those utilizing custom automations or scripts with Azion's API should update them to ensure compatibility with v4 endpoints.
