Authentik is an open source Identity Provider that offers unified identity needs in a single platform, replacing Okta and Auth0. The company is updating its open source and enterprise features to scale with growing demand while maintaining its commitment to open source as a Public Benefit Company. Remote Access Control (RAC) is now available for free, open source users, allowing them to access their home box or use a remote desktop from anywhere. Pricing tiers have also been updated, with new thresholds for enterprise support, including a "Professional" tier with no minimum user count requirements and an annual subscription over $1,000, as well as a "Enterprise" tier for contracts over $20,000. Existing customers are not affected by these changes, and the company encourages more users to try authentik and RAC to access advanced enterprise functionality and direct support from their team.
