How to Remove a Veo Watermark, and How to Skip It Next Time
Blog post from Atlas Cloud
Veo-generated videos can contain three distinct provenance layers: a visible “veo” corner wordmark, an invisible SynthID watermark embedded in the frames, and Content Credentials metadata. Google Flow reportedly lets most users disable the visible watermark for future renders through a profile setting, although it remains mandatory in India, South Korea, and Vietnam, while previously generated clips require editing or cropping to remove the visible logo. The material presents Atlas Cloud’s editing tools and Veo 3.1 generation service as alternatives for removing or avoiding the visible badge, while emphasizing that these methods do not remove SynthID and may cause metadata-based Content Credentials to be lost during re-export. It also notes that removing a visible mark does not change a video’s AI origin, and that Google’s policies focus on deceptive claims about provenance rather than the presence of the logo itself, with local labeling laws potentially imposing additional requirements.
