Dev.to x AssemblyAI: Winter Speech-to-Text Challenge Winners

We recently partnered with Dev.to to host a winter hacking challenge, where 75 participants submitted projects across three categories: Building a sophisticated Speech-to-Text application with our latest Universal-2 model, a real-time Speech-to-Text application using our Streaming Speech-to-Text API, and an LLM-powered feature on top of speech data. The winning projects showcased innovative use of technology and impressive results, including the winner's modern web application that streamlines the interview workflow for journalists, and an AI-powered speech analysis assistant that provides instant transcription and advanced analytics. Participants competed for a $1,000 prize and six month Dev++ membership, as well as exclusive gifts, and our team enjoyed reviewing all the great projects submitted.
