What's new at Aspect: Summer 2023

Aspect has made significant strides since December, with its professional services division, Aspect Development, aiding 42 companies in addressing common issues within the Bazel ecosystem. Their blog and documentation site engage thousands monthly, and new features like a live chat and a free week of Bazel Open Source Support are being introduced to enhance user experience. Aspect Workflows, which optimizes Bazel's performance in CI/CD environments, has been adopted by eight companies, with expanded support for GitLab and Google Cloud. The company launched a new rules_oci version, replacing the unmaintained bazelbuild/rules_docker repository, and has released version 1.0 of several tools in the rules_js ecosystem, receiving positive user feedback. Aspect CLI offers an improved interface for running Bazel, with new features for JavaScript/TypeScript and Kotlin. The company is actively participating in upcoming conferences, including the DPE Summit, BazelCon, and PackagingCon.
