Establishing the right KPIs is crucial for measuring the success of a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) as it drives agility, innovation, and competitiveness in cloud adoption. Ideal KPIs should be strategically relevant, quantifiable, and easily measurable to validate the company's cloud transformation model. These metrics can include financial KPIs such as on-premises vs cloud infrastructure costs, migration success, staffing issues or costs, and impact on customers and revenue; operational KPIs like cloud operations IT staffing costs, energy, floor space, air conditioning, miscellaneous, training costs, enablement requirements, and potential waste in cloud operations; business value KPIs such as cloud operations governance, performance and automation, education, and the impact of cloud operations on revenue and profit. A one-size-fits-all approach does not exist, and determining relevant KPIs depends on a company's organizational structure, commitment, culture, and goals for their CCoE.
