Arcade.dev offers a centralized solution to manage this complexity by acting as an MCP gateway that resolves client-server capability negotiations and maintains governance at runtime, ensuring consistent behavior regardless of the extensions supported by clients. Despite the benefits of a stable core and controlled updates, developers face the challenge of an expanding matrix of support requirements as more extensions are developed and adopted.
