Announcing managed federation

Apollo Federation is an open-source technology for composing multiple GraphQL services into a unified data graph, enabling teams to scale their GraphQL API from a single team to a shared asset serving the whole company. A major update to Apollo's commercial platform introduces managed federation, which adds support for seamlessly building, managing, and querying federated graphs like monolithic schemas. The Graph Manager is a complete solution to help teams coordinate updating the graph whenever an underlying service changes, with features such as analytics, diagnostics, federated service checks, and managed service deployments. Managed federation is included in all three plans of the Apollo platform, including Community Edition, Team Edition, and Enterprise Edition, offering a free trial for teams to try it out.
