Project Glasswing

Project Glasswing is a collaborative initiative involving major tech companies and organizations like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and the Linux Foundation to enhance cybersecurity using AI. The project leverages Anthropic's Claude Mythos Preview, an AI model capable of autonomously identifying and exploiting software vulnerabilities with a proficiency surpassing most human experts. This initiative aims to transform these capabilities into defensive tools to secure critical software infrastructure, as the AI model has already discovered thousands of high-severity vulnerabilities across major operating systems and applications. With the rapid advancement of AI, there is an urgent need to adopt new security measures to protect against potential AI-augmented cyberattacks. Project Glasswing provides model usage credits and donations to support open-source software security, involving over 40 organizations in securing both proprietary and open-source systems. The initiative also seeks to engage with government entities to address national security risks associated with AI, promoting a cooperative approach to setting industry standards for cybersecurity in the AI era.
