Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Anthropic have announced strategic partnerships to enhance the scalability and accessibility of Anthropic's Claude AI model on Microsoft Azure, utilizing NVIDIA's technology. Anthropic plans to purchase $30 billion in Azure compute capacity and aims to contract up to one gigawatt of additional capacity initially with NVIDIA Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin systems. The partnership aims to optimize Anthropic’s models and future NVIDIA architectures, and Microsoft Foundry customers will gain access to Anthropic’s Claude models, making Claude the only frontier model available on the three major cloud services. Additionally, Microsoft and NVIDIA have committed to investing $10 billion and $5 billion, respectively, in Anthropic. These initiatives will broaden access to Claude for Azure enterprise customers and integrate Claude into various Microsoft Copilot products, while Amazon remains Anthropic’s primary cloud provider.
