Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar appointed to Anthropic’s Long-Term Benefit Trust

Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar has been appointed as a new member of Anthropic's Long-Term Benefit Trust, an independent body dedicated to helping Anthropic achieve its mission as a Public Benefit Corporation focused on ensuring a safe transition through transformative AI. Cuéllar brings a wealth of experience in law, governance, and international affairs, having held prominent positions such as a Justice of the Supreme Court of California and President of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. His career, influenced by his global perspective and focus on technology's impact on public institutions, makes him a valuable asset as AI increasingly influences geopolitical dynamics. The Trust, instrumental in advising Anthropic's Board and selecting its members, aims to balance advanced AI's benefits while mitigating risks and maintaining public interest.
