Claude in Amazon Bedrock: Approved for Use in FedRAMP High and DoD IL4/5 Workloads

Claude models have been approved for use in Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High and Department of Defense (DoD) Impact Level 4 and 5 workloads through Amazon Bedrock in AWS GovCloud (US) regions, enabling federal agencies to access advanced AI capabilities while meeting stringent security requirements. This approval represents the highest levels of cloud security certification for unclassified and controlled unclassified information, allowing Claude to support users across a wide range of unclassified government workloads. With this development, federal agencies can now deploy frontier AI models, build AI agents that process controlled unclassified information, and leverage Claude's advanced intelligence capabilities in secure environments. The goal is to enable commercial availability of Claude models across every region where public sector customers operate, meeting the security accreditations required for mission-critical workloads.
