Alpaca Launches Business Accounts for Broker Partners

Alpaca has launched Business Accounts through its Broker API, allowing eligible broker partners to onboard legal entities such as LLCs and S-Corps, along with authorized signers, through an API-native workflow. The offering addresses traditionally manual and fragmented business-account onboarding processes by combining KYB verification for entities and KYC verification for individuals in a structured, party-centric system that captures ownership, beneficial-owner relationships, and signer roles. Partners can use their existing Broker API infrastructure to open and update accounts, manage lifecycle events, and trigger reviews when key records change, while Alpaca automatically generates confirmations, statements, and tax forms in the entity’s name. The service is designed to scale programmatic onboarding without requiring proportional operational support and will also be accessible through Alpaca’s MCP Servers for workflow exploration and testing. Business Accounts are available to partners approved for KYB and KYC reliance, and the launch is positioned as part of Alpaca’s broader institutional trading roadmap.
