A facets data model using JSON

Faceted search is a critical Search UI feature where users can click on facet values to filter their search results. In this article, we examine various data structures applied to different facet use cases. The most common data structures for facets include simple facet values, nested faceting, hierarchical categories, and user and AI tagging. These are used for different aspects of facet search, such as filtering, searching, and display purposes. A well-tailored JSON dataset is crucial to support the front-end's needs in a faceted search experience.
