Say Hi to Kai: your AI Assistant in Airwallex

Airwallex has renamed and expanded its in-WebApp AI assistant as Kai, an intelligent companion designed to help customers manage financial operations through natural-language prompts across more than 100 tools and workflows. Kai uses business and page context to support customized onboarding, identify recurring payment patterns, create spend-approval workflows, initiate and track transfers, and manage cards, while escalating issues to human support when necessary; Airwallex says it currently resolves 88% of conversations without escalation and has assisted more than 14,000 customers with onboarding. Planned enhancements include answering business analytics questions such as burn rate and AI infrastructure spending, guiding payment acceptance setup with payment-method recommendations, and supporting employee onboarding through role and permission configuration.
