October release notes: Afterpay now available, Mexico collections and easier platform management for UK and EU
Blog post from Airwallex
Airwallex has introduced several payment, account, expense-management, and embedded-finance updates, including global availability of Afterpay, a Buy Now, Pay Later option that lets shoppers pay in installments while merchants receive upfront settlement, and which the company says has increased average order value by 9% and checkout conversion by up to 41% for its merchants. The company also plans to launch Airwallex as a BigCommerce payment processor, enabling businesses to accept card payments directly at checkout. Businesses can now open Mexico Global Accounts to receive MXN deposits through the SPEI electronic-transfer system, while Spend users gain bulk receipt downloads and CSV reimbursement exports, alongside QuickBooks integration for coding and reconciling reimbursements. Airwallex also plans embedded Strong Customer Authentication components for platforms serving UK and EEA customers, intended to simplify compliance, shorten integration time, and reduce fraud risks.
