New at Airwallex: December Edition
Blog post from Airwallex
Airwallex has introduced a range of business-account, spend-management, payments, and developer updates aimed at simplifying financial operations. Its WebApp now includes an AI Assistant that supports onboarding, answers contextual questions, and can complete actions such as opening Global Accounts or enabling payment methods, while New Zealand customers can add NZD through direct debit with BECS settlement. New expense controls include late-submission policies that can freeze employee cards, mobile spend-request submission and approval, entity-specific accounting configurations, receipt-based tax-rate suggestions, and expanded integrations with Pennylane, Priority ERP, and Deel. Merchants with Mexican entities can now accept major card networks in MXN, supported by a settlements dashboard offering views of payment activity, reserves, currencies, and settlement trends, alongside Shopify and Magento payment enhancements. For developers, the new MCP Server provides coding agents with integration guidance, sandbox capabilities, and API context, while organisation-level and multi-account API keys and webhooks simplify management for businesses operating across multiple accounts.
