Summary

Airwallex reported strong 2024 growth ahead of its 10th anniversary, serving more than 150,000 businesses worldwide, a 50% increase year over year, while surpassing $600 million in annual run-rate revenue and $130 billion in annualised transaction volume. The company expanded its product suite with Yield, Global Entity Management, and credit-card offerings, while Corporate Cards and Payments generated over half of commercial gross profit. Its global infrastructure grew through licences across major markets and expansion plans in Brazil and Mexico, including a Brazilian payment institution licence, approval to acquire MexPago, and an upcoming PIX integration. Airwallex also highlighted partnerships with companies such as Brex, Deel, Shopify, WooCommerce, Xero, and McLaren Formula 1, whose international-payment processing time was reduced through the platform. Looking toward 2025, the company expects its Americas and EMEA operations to more than double in commercial scale, plans further market and product expansion, and intends to use AI to enhance its financial-services capabilities. Its workforce reached more than 1,700 employees across 37 locations, and it introduced the Airwallex Impact social program, including a Pledge 1% commitment and three annual volunteer days for employees.
