Airwallex has introduced its AI Assistant, now called Kai, as an AI-powered concierge within its WebApp designed to simplify global financial operations for businesses. Built around multi-currency transactions, regulatory requirements, and customer-specific Airwallex data, the assistant provides real-time guidance, visibility into payments and fees, and selected actions such as creating corporate cards and tracking payment applications. It can help users configure accounts, enable payment methods, understand cash positions and spending, and escalate unresolved issues to appropriate human support teams. Airwallex plans to expand Kai’s capabilities to include payment-link creation, natural-language spend approval workflows, transfer and currency recommendations, and automation of recurring transactions. The company positions the assistant as the first stage of a broader effort to embed AI throughout its financial products, providing proactive recommendations, streamlined configurations, and data-driven insights while noting that its information is not legal, tax, regulatory, or investment advice.
