June release notes: Faster global transfers, fewer chargebacks
Blog post from Airwallex
Airwallex’s June releases focus on expanding payment acceptance, automating financial operations, and improving global transfers. Singapore users can now accept UnionPay cards, while customers in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia can settle Thai baht directly into their Wallets to avoid foreign-exchange conversion costs. API users can receive webhook notifications for settled, rejected, or reversed direct debits, and eligible Core API and Embedded Finance users can top up euro Wallet balances through linked SEPA accounts. The Android app now supports transfers to existing recipients, Singapore users gain 24/7 instant local transfers with optional payment references, and Mastercard’s pre-chargeback program aims to resolve qualifying disputes before they become chargebacks. Upcoming features include NetSuite expense-management integration for automated reconciliation and a native Shopify checkout integration offering local payment methods and multicurrency settlement without redirecting customers.
