August release notes 2022: Subscription management, Global Accounts, and webhooks

Airwallex’s August release introduces subscription payment capabilities in the UK, Hong Kong, the EU, and Australia, enabling businesses to accept recurring payments in more than 170 currencies through over 10 payment methods and manage flexible billing schedules, customer information, and payment details. The company has also added local payment rails for transfers to several Latin American and North African markets, including Argentina, Mexico, Egypt, and Morocco, aiming to reduce reliance on SWIFT and associated costs. Australian users can now add funds to their Airwallex wallets directly through the app from linked bank accounts, while Online Payments fees are now settled on the same day as customer transactions to simplify reconciliation. Developers also gain enhanced webhook controls for viewing, testing, and re-triggering events, supporting real-time integrations and alerts with applications such as Slack.
