Blog post from Agent Relay
Agent-to-agent communication is undergoing a transformative shift with the development of Agent Relay, which facilitates autonomous interaction between AI agents across various command-line interface (CLI) tools such as Codex, Claude, and others. Initially, the project explored a pull-based method for agent communication but found greater success with a push-based method that directly delivers messages to agents' inputs. This advancement allows for seamless and CLI-agnostic communication, enabling agents to efficiently manage tasks and collaborate without human intervention, effectively accelerating workflow processes. The system includes a user-friendly SDK and dashboard, allowing developers to spawn, chat, and coordinate agents, which can autonomously create sub-agents and handle complex tasks. The introduction of Agent Relay Cloud further expands these capabilities by integrating with GitHub, allowing agents to work continuously on tasks like reviewing pull requests and updating documentation. Future expansions aim to include integrations with platforms like Notion, Slack, and Outlook, promising to further streamline and enhance automated workflows.
