The primary key index is held in shared memory, allowing for rapid reattachment after an upgrade without the need for an index rebuild. For server reboots requiring OS updates or hardware maintenance, Aerospike offers the quiesce feature to ensure data resilience and allow for a smooth transition from one cluster to another. This approach can be faster than cycling through multiple update-then-reboot cycles.
