Ably has introduced two new moderation providers, Bodyguard and Tisane, to enhance the moderation capabilities of Ably Chat. This update aims to offer safer and more enjoyable chat experiences by providing users with a choice of moderation services that best suit their community needs. Bodyguard uses a flexible API to analyze messages in context, providing detailed insights to manage inappropriate content, while Tisane employs Natural Language Understanding to flag potentially harmful messages, offering both API and on-premises options for integration. These additions expand the moderation tools available to developers, allowing them to create more secure and dynamic chat applications, with further enhancements, including support for Microsoft Azure’s AI Content Safety service, anticipated in the future. Ably continues to evolve its chat solutions to ensure engaging and positive user experiences.
