Ably raises $1m to deliver next generation realtime digital experiences

Ably, a realtime data delivery platform, has secured $1 million in funding led by Forward Partners to support its growth and development into new areas. Founded in 2013, Ably aims to provide developers with an 'infrastructure-as-a-service' offering for realtime data transport. Since launching publicly last year, the platform has over 2,000 developers using it and nearly 100 customers worldwide. The investment will be used to expand Ably's engineering team and accelerate development of its technology, including new features like 'smart notifications' and a universal message bus for businesses to syndicate realtime data.
