WireMock API Templates Library is a public, open-source catalog containing more than 2,000 reusable mock API templates for services such as GitHub, GitLab, OpenAI, and WireMock’s own administration APIs. Designed to reduce the effort of mocking third-party services for integration testing, the library lets users search templates, review descriptions and usage guidance, and either import them directly into WireMock Cloud or download JSON mappings for local WireMock deployments. Templates support WireMock 2.25.0 and later stable releases as well as WireMock 3 beta versions, and can be used with standalone JAR installations, Docker containers, and JUnit tests. The project includes Docker examples for embedding mappings in custom images, while the catalog, its metadata repository, and website are open to community contributions, feedback, and template improvements through GitHub.

WireMock has raised $6.5 million in seed funding from Ridge Ventures, First Rays Venture Partners, and Scribble Ventures to expand its API developer productivity platform, WireMock Cloud, while continuing to support its open-source mock server. The company was founded around WireMock’s established open-source adoption, which includes 5,500 GitHub stars and more than 4 million monthly downloads, and addresses development delays caused by unavailable, unreliable, or incomplete third-party and internal APIs. WireMock Cloud adds managed hosting, API management, support for complex dependency environments, and self-service deployment capabilities, and its free edition has attracted tens of thousands of active users alongside paying customers across industries. The funding will support product development, including broader API lifecycle tools such as chaos engineering and developer portals generated from mocks, as well as growth in customer success and technical support. WireMock also states that it will continue investing engineering resources in its open-source project, including expanded language support beginning with Python SDKs.
