October 2023 Summaries

Weaviate 1.22 introduces nested object storage, allowing users to store complex data structures directly in Weaviate as property values. This version also includes asynchronous vector indexing for faster import of large datasets and additional gRPC support. A beta release of the v4 Python client is available, offering improved performance and a more user-friendly API. The new features are already accessible on Weaviate Cloud.

Weaviate is celebrating Hacktoberfest, a month-long event promoting open source contributions. Participants with four accepted pull requests (PRs) between October 1 - 31, 2023 will receive a unique digital reward from Hacktoberfest.
