Productivity apps are evolving with the integration of Generative AI, leading to an "Ask & Adjust" paradigm where AIs generate drafts or edits and humans hand-tweak them until they are right. This approach is expected to be more prevalent in creative domains like image creation or marketing copy, while apps requiring precise implementation such as coding will still need adjustment UIs. The interfaces for the "Ask" phase are being refined, with autosuggestions and chat being the primary modes of interaction. However, hand-adjustment is not expected to disappear anytime soon, especially in domains where there's one correct outcome that needs precise implementation. Collaborative reuse will remain important but aided by AI. The apps best positioned for success are those seamlessly integrating AI into their creation and editing processes while maintaining efficient human UIs for hand-tweaking and collaboration.

Warp, a terminal application, has introduced two new modes for command line input position: "input starting at the top" and "input pinned to the top". These features were highly requested since the beta launch. The default mode in Warp is having the input prompt and command line "pinned" to the bottom of the view, similar to work applications like Slack. However, this can be ergonomically challenging for developers who prefer their command line at eye level. With these new modes, users can now configure their input position according to their preference. Additionally, a new "Jump to bottom of this block" button has been introduced to help navigate long running tasks in Reverse mode. Both the Classic and Reverse modes are available for testing in the latest version of Warp app under Appearance settings.
