Following its acquisition by Oakley Partners, cPanel has introduced a new pricing model based on the number of cPanel Accounts hosted on a server, effective September 1, 2019, marking a shift from the previous unlimited account licensing structure. This change means customers will now only pay for the accounts they use, with differing models for compute and bare metal instances. All existing monthly licenses will be transitioned to this account-based pricing structure, and cPanel licenses will include up to 5 or 100 accounts, with additional charges for more. Vultr has aligned its cPanel pricing accordingly, and a new pricing structure for Windows Server license deployments has been announced, although prices for existing Windows Server instances remain unchanged.
