Unstructured has been awarded a contract by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to develop an AI-enabled solution aimed at enhancing the efficiency of decision-making in Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and surface warfare operations. The current challenge faced by Fleet operators is the dispersion of key environmental and threat data across various platforms, leading to time-consuming and error-prone data compilation processes. To address this, Unstructured, in partnership with Elastic, is developing an architecture that integrates diverse data sources to provide rapid, explainable search results via a user-friendly interface. This solution will initially be integrated with existing platforms like the AN/SQQ-34 Aircraft Carrier Tactical Support System and the AN/UYQ-100 Undersea Warfare Decision Support System. By leveraging Unstructured's expertise in data ingestion and Elastic's enterprise search capabilities, this initiative aims to operationalize machine learning for real-time decision support, with potential future applications in broader maritime and defense command-and-control systems.

Unstructured has attained an Authority to Operate (ATO) at Impact Level 5 (IL5), facilitating the secure deployment of AI-ready data pipelines in defense environments dealing with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). This IL5 authorization allows Unstructured to aid warfighting, intelligence, and enterprise missions by transforming complex, unstructured data into AI-ready inputs and enabling secure networks for RAG, chatbots, and agentic GenAI workloads. This achievement, accomplished through Second Front Systems’ Game Warden platform, underscores Unstructured's capability to transition AI from experimentation to mission-ready production while meeting rigorous security standards. The milestone builds on Unstructured’s recent FedRAMP High authorization, solidifying its position as a secure data layer for government GenAI operations at scale.
