Today, Temporal Cloud was launched in ap-south-2 (Hyderabad), marking its second AWS region in India. Since its initial launch in India's ap-south-1 (Mumbai) a year ago, the company has experienced significant growth within various sectors such as financial services and technology providers. The new region will enable Temporal to continue supporting this expanding segment of their community. With two regions now available in India, users can benefit from Multi-Region Namespaces while adhering to strict data residency laws in the country. This feature ensures a contractual SLA of 99.99% uptime availability by deploying Temporal Service in a primary region and having a secondary standby region for immediate failover during primary region outages. Additionally, Temporal's CTO and Co-Founder Maxim Fateev, along with other team members, will be visiting Bangalore from August 19th to host a meetup on August 20th where attendees can learn more about the technology and its applications in industries like banking.
