The two final year students, Me and Dwij, participated in the DeveloperWeek Hackathon and were inspired by the Symb.ai and Agora challenge. They created MeetVerse, a 3D space for hosting events and meetings with an immersive experience, utilizing Agora's presentation features and Symbl.ai's real-time captioning capabilities. The platform aims to improve the user experience through features like screen sharing, video on character, conversation analytics, and topics of discussion. With efficient infrastructure designed to handle global usage, MeetVerse provides a realistic conversation experience, making meetings more interactive and enjoyable.

The Developer Week 2022 Hackathon provided an opportunity for Plushcap and Yannis Panagis to challenge themselves creatively by combining Agora's interactive experience APIs with Symbl.ai's conversation intelligence, aiming to build a smarter conversation experience. They aimed to address the challenges of tech interviews by creating InterviewToast, an internal tool offering three main features: interview preparation, feedback, and assessment, leveraging Symbl's AI for real-time insights and analysis. The solution was built using various technologies, including GatsbyJS, Agora.io, and Firebase, with WebRTC integration, which initially posed a challenge but helped Plushcap overcome his fear of the technology. Future extensions to the product include integrating Stripe for monetization and implementing interactive charts for data visualization.
